The staff and advisor of Duxbury High School's literary magazine will hold a creative writing conference for middle school students from 3:00 to 4:30 on Tuesday, December 11. Participants will work in small groups to plan aspects of their story including characters, setting, verb use, and plot structure. Then, they will create stories with these plans. This conference will help any student interested in writing to improve his or her skills in creative writing. It should also improve students' ability to analyze literature according to critical techniques of story telling. Admission is $15 payable in advance or upon arrival. Please make checks payable to Duxbury High School. All participants must be enrolled prior to the conference date to ensure we have adequate resources.
