The Sisters of St. Margaret have many events coming up for the holidays. First, all are invited to a Thanksgiving Day Choral Eucharist to be held at the Chapel on Harden Hill Road on Nov. 22 at 9 a.m. As part of the Duxbury Holly Days on Sunday, Nov. 25, the Sisters will be selling handmade Haitian Christmas crafts and serving English wassail (a non-alcoholic, hot fruit punch) and English shortbread at the Bertram Conference Center, 21 Harden Hill Road, from 12 – 4 p.m. Christmas Chants and Hymns sung by the St. Margaret’s Schola from 3 - 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel. And finally, on Sunday, Dec. 2, the Sisters of St. Margaret welcome you to join them for a Service of Advent Lessons and Carols at 4 p.m. in the Chapel on Harden Hill Road. Advent Lessons and Carols is a service of scripture readings, hymns, and carols appropriate for the season of Advent. Reception following. |
