How many doughnuts can you balance on your forehead? How fast can you empty a tissue box with one hand? “Minute To Win It!” is coming back to DMS!
Mark your calendars ~ the DMS student event “Minute To Win It!” is Thursday, Nov. 8, at the Performing Arts Center from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.. Based on the popular TV game show, DMS students (and faculty!) will face challenges using everyday household items. How it works: DMS students who are interested in competing can enter their name into a drawing to participate. Each round will start with a group of these students being called up on stage to compete with each other, and the clock, as they complete rounds of fun challenges using household objects, all within a 60-second time limit. The winner from each round will win a prize sponsored by a local business. Each round winner will then compete in the Final Challenge Round for the grand prize – a new IPad! This fun and exciting event is a night the whole family can enjoy. If your DMS student is not interested in competing, they can still come and cheer on their classmates, teachers and faculty. Tickets are available in advance for $5 for students, $8 for adults and $30 for the family at Benchwarmers and Rock Paper Scissors, during DMS lunches a few days before the event, and through a flyer being sent home with students. Tickets will also be available at the door the night of the event for $7 per student, $10 per adult and $35 for families. As a new opportunity for families to support this event, we are offering a “Friends and Family” sponsorship. For $100, you will receive 2 tickets to the event and a special thank you in the program book. If interested, please send us an email at: info@dms-ptg.org. Come join the fun ~ the PTA is in need of some volunteers to make this night a success! If you can help out the night of the event, please email us at: info@dms-ptg.org. Are you up for the challenge? |
