On Monday, May 28, Duxbury Post 223 of the American Legion will hold Memorial Day ceremonies at the following cemeteries: Ashdod Cemetery on Keene Street – 8 a.m. Dingley Cemetery on West Street – 8:10 a.m. North Duxbury Tomb on Lincoln Street – 8:20 a.m. Korean/Vietnam –WWII Memorial-Legion Home – 8:45 a.m. Blue Fish River Bridge on Washington Street – 9 a.m. St. John’s Church Cemetery on Washington Street – 9:15 a.m. World War I Memorial at Town Hall – 9:30 a.m. Myles Standish Cemetery on Chestnut Street – 9:45 a.m. Parade will commence at 10 a.m. up Depot Street to the First Parish Church. Memorial Day services at First Parish will open at 11:15 a.m., followed by services at Mayflower Cemetery. The public is invited back to the Post home at 5 West Street for refreshments after the services at Mayflower Cemetery. |
