Michael Reagh McGoldrick, 53, died suddenly on Tuesday, May 1 in Norwell. He and his twin brother Donald were born on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1959, in Evanston, Ill. to Mary and Peter McGoldrick. He graduated from Harriton High School in Rosemont, Penn. in 1977, and in 1981 from the Pennsylvania State University, where he was a proud member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Mr. McGoldrick pursued a career in retail supermarket management and later, after completing the program in cabinet and furniture making at the North Bennet Street School in Boston, he became an accomplished professional woodworker and carpenter. He loved the ocean and was an avid fisherman. Mr. McGoldrick leaves his children, Isabella and Thomas of Duxbury; his former wife, Kelly McKenna; a sister Beth McGoldrick of Boston; his brothers Peter of Andover, N.J., John of Bryn Mawr, Penn., and Thomas of Havertown, Penn.; his companion, Kimberly Wood Holleran of Villanova, Penn.; and many nieces and nephews. His parents and twin brother predeceased him. A memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 23 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont St., Duxbury. Burial will be in Orleans. Donations may be made in Mr. McGoldrick’s memory to the Salvation Army, Attn.: Development, 25 Shawmut Rd. Canton, MA 02021. |
