Elinor M. “Nony” (Reeves) Harstedt, 88 of Duxbury, died Feb. 16 after a long illness. Mrs. Harstedt was born in Cambridge to Ina Frances (Brown) and Henry Everett Reeves, raised in Winchester and attended Smith College. Following World War II, she and her husband George moved to Long Island, N.Y. and raised their family in Huntington Bay. They retired to Duxbury in 1994. Mrs. Harstedt was an accomplished and devoted mother and homemaker. She excelled at many things, including tennis, one of her favorite pastimes. Mrs. Harstedt was the wife of the late George W. Harstedt, Jr. She leaves her children, George W. Harstedt III and his wife Susan Pickering of Northport, N.Y.; Deborah R. Harstedt and her husband David Rhodes of Wellesley, and Alison J. Harstedt of Duxbury; her sisters, Helen Shean of Winchester and Carolyn Dunbar of Duxbury; her brother, the late Charles Reeves; her grandsons Jordan and Trevor Rhodes; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Harstedt will be buried with her husband, a WWII veteran USMC, at the Mass. National Cemetery in Bourne on Friday, March 9 at 11:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Standish Humane Society, P.O.
