D. Harriette (â€Dickieâ€) Sarkisian of Duxbury, formerly of Bridgewater, died Aug. 4 in Jordan Hospital in Plymouth at the age of 100. She was born in Bridgewater, where she graduated from the Bridgewater Normal School in 1929 and was a teacher in the Holbrook and Bridgewater public schools teaching Junior High English and the fourth grade. During her years in Bridgewater, she was a member of the Ousamequin Women's Club, Bridgewater Scholarship Committee, The Players Drama Club, and served on the Altar Guild at Trinity Episcopal Church. Mrs. Sarkisian was an avid swimmer well into her 90's while spending summers on Cape Cod and also enjoyed her bridge club which had been together for over 50 years. She was the wife of the late Herbert A. Sarkisian, and the sister of the late Azniv Boyajian, Sartenig Yazarian and Henry Siranosian. She leaves her sons, Herbert A. Sarkisian, Jr. and his wife Janet of Barnstable, and the late William Russell Sarkisian; a daughter, Mary-Joy Von Bargen and her husband Frederick of Duxbury; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held in the Trinity Episcopal Church, Main Street/Rte 28 in Bridgewater on Aug. 14. Burial will be in Mt. Prospect Cemetery.
