The future of Duxbury police officer Scott Myers is expected to be decided on Friday.  Town Manager Rocco Longo is conferring with legal counsel to draft a decision.  Last week Longo asked for an extension until June 13, attributing the delay to a busy meeting schedule.

Woman Faces Charges on Stolen Credit Card

Elaine La Rosa,53, of Bay Road pleaded innocent to improper use of a credit card over $250 in Plymouth District Court last week.

She was released on assurance she would return to face charges May 9.

Plymouth police charged LaRosea with using a credit card in someone else’s name to charge a $1,026.98 bill for a long term stay at the Pilgrim Sands Motel.

Duxbury police charged her with fraudulently attaining a credit card from a local senior citizen according to police court officer Robert Fontaine.

 

 
Woman Pleads Guilty to Tax and Bank Fraud

A Lake Shore Drive resident pled guilty in Federal Court on April 2 to tax and bank fraud charges. U.S. Attorney Donald K. Stern, Special Agent in charge of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation in New England Michael Lahey, and Special Agent in Charge of the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration Michael Delgado announce that Maureen E. Allen, 35, of 45 Lake Shore Drive pled guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Richard G. Stearns to a two-count information charging her with filing false payroll tax returns in 1995 and 1996, and with submitting a false tax return to Fleet Bank in connection with a loan application.

ZBA Gets Public Input on Delano Farms Plan
