Selectmen Want Turf Project At Town Meeting

After hearing from the Community Preservation Committee and the Duxbury P.R.I.D.E. group that wants to use $1 million in CPA funds to build two synthetic turf fields at the middle and high schools, all three Duxbury selectmen said Monday they felt this issue should come before voters at the Annual Town Meeting on March 10.

DPW Budget at Bare Minimum

In the FY08 Department of Public Works budget, director Tom Daley has tried to keep cost increases to a bare minimum, budgeting only enough money to pay for salary increases mandated by union contracts and for the rising costs of fuel. There are no new employees included.
