The Board of Selectmen has chosen attorney Arthur Kreiger as Duxbury’s next town counsel. Selectmen voted unanimously Monday to give the position to Krieger, who has been serving as interim town counsel since May.

A new town counsel will be chosen next week, Duxbury’s selectmen decided Monday. After interviewing three finalists for the position last week and discussing their thoughts at this Monday’s weekly meeting, selectmen agreed they needed more time and information before making a final decision.

She's our hero of the year. Duxbury's youth have rallied around local hero Razia Jan over the last few months, learning about her efforts to provide education to young girls in Afghanistan, the dangers, challenges, and social implications changing the landscape for the future for women there. At DSU kids have been voting daily to help her win the $250,000 award to further her school.
